New York My Style

I like to eat…especially when I visit New York.  I also like to shop, but food is always priority.  Here’s a sample of what the girls and I consumed during our most recent visit to NYC… and there might be a sprinkle of shopping too…

Eataly for heavenly Artisanal Italian food and wine. Largest market of it’s kind by Batali-BastianichI would be perfectly happy trapped here for an extended period of time.

Mary’s Fish Camp for my favorite Lobster Roll and seasonal Cockles.

Prune for brunch.  I was too hungry to take a photo of the food.  I had Egg “En Cocotte”.  Divine.

Tipsy Parson for brunch.  I had the Biscuit Bomb.  That’s right, Biscuit Bomb and the Butter Grits.  Correct, Butter Grits.

The weird Grimaldi’s for delicious pizza.  I say “weird Grimaldi’s” because our usual stop is their normal and traditional pizzeria in Brooklyn.  The Manhattan location has replaced the former Limelight nightclub slash weird shopping mall.  Weird…but still delicious.

Shopping!  Found a good everyday cropped pea coat from Steven Alan,

a cute pair of Repettos from Opening Ceremony,

a little diddy for my little diddy at Makie,

a couple of gifts for hubby and home at Michele Varian,

and a Proenza Schouler bag to add to my wishlist (it’ll never happen but a girl can dream).

I love you New York!
